Man, I had such a good Nethack game going last night, then I got ruined.

DianaFury was a female elven Wizard (chaotic). She started off with the force bolt and magic missile spells. There was a pair of gloves in the room she started in, which her pet dutifully brought to her. Since they weren't cursed, she put 'em on, and watched her strength jump to 25. Gauntlets of Power in the first room. Sweet.

She made it down to minetown, where the altar was coaligned, and got some holy water. One of the shops sold a lamp for 75, and dropping it on the altar confirmed it was blessed. She rubbed the lamp, and a djinni appeared and granted her wish of Silver Dragon scale mail. Sweet.

She then went to find Sokoban, and completed it, but needed to break a bunch of boulders along the way, which reduced her luck a lot, I guess. In Sokoban, she found a stray kitten on the last level, which grew very quickly into a large cat in the treasure room. The treasure room yielded a bag of holding, which was very needed with the scrolls and rings and potions she had. She then went back to complete the mines, which wasn't much of a problem. A nice dwarf was kind enough to bring the luckstone right to her. A polymorph trap turned her large cat into a Gray Dragon. Sweet.

This is where the problems began. She headed back to minetown, to do some killing and sacrificing to try to improve her weapon and get more holy water. She drank from a fountain (the guards didn't scare her!), and it overflowed making a couple little pools. She then got all her useless potions out of the bag of holding, and put all her other stuff IN the bag of holding in preparation to drop it and jump in the pool (to dilute her potions to water).

All of a sudden, the bag (which was FULL of goodies) was gone. My only guess is that one of my unID'd wands was a wand of cancellation (putting a wand of cancellation into a bag of holding explodes it, losing everything). All I was left with was the armor I was wearing (still not bad) and a couple of gems. My god wasn't happy with me, and sacrificing wasn't helping (I think it was all the bad luck I'd incurred in Sokoban). I starved to death soon after. Bogus.
