Quick recap... Friday night, Diana and I went and hung out with Norm and Teri and her parents at the beach house. I wasn't sure how hanging out with her parents was going to be, but it turned out to be really fun. They're both really nice, and it was good to sit and get to know them. It's always great to see Norm and Teri, and we had a good time just sitting around and chatting.

Saturday evening, Diana and Iwan and I headed to the home opener of the San Diego Sockers! The game was pretty low scoring and boring, but it's still fun to see live sporting events. The Sockers lost.

Sunday, Dad and I went out for his birthday present to Fry's. We bought a DVD player, and headed back to their house and got it all set up. He seemed happy to have it, and hopefully they'll enjoy it. I watched the first bit of the Charger game over there, and headed home to watch the rest. Poor, poor Chargers. The state of San Diego sports is really in the shitter right now.

We rented two movies recently: "Confidence" and Jackie Chan's "Drunken Master". The first was ok. A heist movie that tried to be "The Usual Suspects", but wasn't as catchy or clever or good. I was hoping the latter would be better, but it wasn't nearly as cool as some of Jackie's newer stuff. So, a couple of duds there. Bummer.

Last night, Diana, who usually has class from 5-10pm got a call as she was walking out the door that it was cancelled. We spent the evening enjoying the couch and watching trashy TV, which is fun while we're doing it, but afterwards can leave one with a feeling of having wasted an evening.
