Ok...

So what's the deal with this grocery store strike? Actually, I take that back. I don't really care what the deal is with the grocery store strike. They want something, and the employers want something, and they'll have to find an agreement somewhere. Whatever.

What I do care about is that somehow we, the general public, are now involved in their fight. Willling or not, shoppers are being used as a pawn in the negotiations by the union workers against the stores, specifically by being encouraged (or bullied) at shopping elsewhere.

Is this fair? Or even appropriate? It just seems wrong to me that a lot of people who probably don't know or care about the specifics of the negotiations are now unwittingly on the side of the union strikers through their actions of shopping elsewhere.

Comments?

Yesterday, we had a "team building" event at a local mini-golf place. Contests were held in lazer-tag and mini-golf. My team won both (we had a good team). Yay us. It was a fun day. Beat working, at least.
