I remember the son of a neighbor (a teenager at the time) had one. I remember watching him give a friend of his one, shaving his head in the driveway. It was always something I thought was so cool, and vowed that someday I'd have a mohawk.
Today is that day.
There are a few major obstacles that have held me back thus far. Foremost is my obligation to my generous employer. I figured that a 'hawk wouldn't fit in very well in the hallowed halls of an investment management company (casual and forward thinking as they are). But since I'm taking this extended leave of absence, that obstacle is temporarily removed.
The second factor, which was really more of a motivation than a detraction, is my quickly receding hairline. The front center is solid. The sides of my forehead, though, is quickly extending back into my hair. It's basically now or never.
So, for the time being, here's how I look:

Note that I didn't shave the rest of my head. I'm guess I'm not THAT baditude. It's really not that extreme, actually, looking at the pictures. But I like it. And Diana likes it. Allie thinks her dad is AWESOME. It's really win-win-win.

I like it! Nurture your mohawk. Let it flourish. Let it guise you. It's like a spiky, greasy version of the force.
Thanks... it's not much, but it's about the best I can do for now, all things considered.
I like it! :)
Allie has great taste!!!
