Today, Diana and Allie and I headed to the mall in Carlsbad. We took the ol' stroller, and wandered around for a while. It was nice. It's liberating to be able to leave the house, and confidence building as well.
This afternoon, we tried out bottle-feeding for the first time. For those of you who don't have kids, this is a pretty significant thing. Apparently drinking from a bottle is a bit different than breastfeeding, and can confuse little minds. However, once a baby can do both, it opens up a lot of possibilities. Not only can I now help out with middle of the night feedings (um...), but we can leave Allie with a set of grandparents while we go out and enjoy a movie or evening with friends. That's huge.
So, we're feeling pretty good about that.
And, continuing my theme of love for Google Maps: I wanted to make an appointment for my car. I wanted to take it to the car shop in Del Mar, but I didn't remember what the name of the place was. However, I knew the location of the shop. So, I popped up Google Maps, and centered my view in Del Mar. Then, in the search bar, I typed in "car repair", and a couple different car repair locations popped up on the map, including the one I was looking for.
I just centered the view on my house, and did a search for "Italian food", and it showed me Italian restaurants nearby. That's neat.
