Our house is in good shape. It's a little messy outside, but inside is pretty clean. Some areas where ash got in through the some cracks, but the air quality is completely manageable and livable. I'm happy to be back.
It's been a pretty harrowing couple of days. The fire reached out with its burny grasp towards my house (slightly), and my parents and Diana's parents' house (more seriously), and for a while, we didn't quite know what the news would be. But the winds changed, and the fires are moving to the north and east.
It's hard not to feel a selfish relief that we were spared when so many others have lost so much. We're thankful that we have a home to come back to.
Here's the state of things. Note all the red dots on the north-east section of the burn areas, rather than the south-west parts.

Thanks for the updates. This whole thing is just madness.
We are so glad all is well. We continue to pray for all out there in the west. We all should count our blessings daily!
