So sad.
Little Allison has had a runny nose for about two weeks now, and just started a bit of a cough. I took her to the doctor today, and she said that she had the beginning of an ear infection and prescribed some antibiotics.. I commented that Allison hadn't complained of her ear hurting, and the doctor said she would soon (or something to that effect... it wasn't quite so ominous as it sounds here). Sure enough, after her nap this afternoon, she woke up saying that her ear hurt. Up until this point in time, she's been basically completely normal, just runny.
This evening she has a 101 fever and is crying unless distracted by a movie or home videos. And not a normal "I'm not happy you're not letting me get my way" cry, but a really sad, pathetic "I feel awful and I don't know what else to do but cry" cry. Poor little thing.
She had her first of three doses of antibiotics today, so I'm really hoping for some improvement tomorrow. If we can only make it through tonight...
