Yay golf!
Today, Diana and I got up and met up with Norm and Teri and Iwan at a local executive golf course, and enjoyed a nice round of golf. Neither Diana nor I have golfed in a LONG time, but Diana hit the range this week and did well. I ended up shooting my best round ever. The course is a par 58 (two par 4s, the rest par 3), and I shot 7 over. I had all pars and 7 bogeys. No birdies, but incredibly, no double bogeys. This was extremely satisfying to me. I'd say I was lucky, but I don't think you can get lucky for a full round. During the day, though, I didn't feel like I was particularly in the groove or whatever. I just felt relaxed and comfortable and having a good time. So, that was nice.
After lunch, we hit up the Nova for pizza and whatnot, and then went our seperate ways. As usual, I had such a good time with my friends, just laughing and having a good time. If only Baditude liked golf.....
After lunch, we headed to my parents house, where I was going to help my dad set up his brand new wireless home network and cable connection, but lo and behold, he'd already set it up together, all by himself. I'm very proud. Now they have a nice fast cable connection, which I'm sure they'll enjoy.
Diana and I were going to meet up with Norm and Teri to see a movie in the afternoon, but we were pretty pooped and still felt pretty gross after golf, so decided we might be better off postponing and going home and getting cleaned up, instead. Maybe we'll try to catch it tomorrow. Anyways, we decided to rent "SeaBiscuit" and "Finding Nemo" in case we need a movie for tonight. And we've just spent the last hour or so in front of the fire reading our books (I just started "A Game of Thrones"). So, a very nice day so far.
