Happy 2004!
Last night was fun. Iwan and Sara and Eryn and Heather came over to our pad, and we hung out and had dinner and played Trivial Pursuit and generally had good times. I traditionally haven't liked New Years much, because I've always had high expectations that were never met. So it was nice to just hang out, casual style.
Diana and I went to UTC today, and saw that the Gamekeeper was going out of business. Everything was 20% off, and we also had a gift card from my work as a little holiday present. So we picked up 400 nice'ish poker chips for relatively cheap. The chips aren't as nice as I'd like as a final draft, but they're a lot better than the plastic mismatched ones we've been using. Diana and I just played heads up for the last hour or so. Lots of fun. I wanted to use my EB card for The Prince of Persia, but EB was out. Boo.
I've had a nice relaxing work schedule, for a change, which has been good. Work on Monday, used my "floating holiday" on Tuesday, work on Wednesday, holiday today, and half-day tomorrow. Yay.
Oh, by the way... did you know that a 1 yen coin weighs exactly one gram and is 1 centimeter in radius? Coolest ever!
