So...
I had a really nice relaxing 3-day weekend. Diana worked quite a bit, as it's finals time for her students (I wonder if any of them have found this blog yet?), so I had lots of time to sit around in my comfies and play computer games and veg out.
I beat the Prince of Persia game I was playing, which was pretty satisfying. Not a great game, but not a bad one either. Thank Sara for the gift card which got me the game!
Diana and I took a nice walk this weekend, where we ran into our next door neighbor out working on his yard. He asked if we'd found a gardner, which I took to mean that he was looking for one. I hope it wasn't a helpful hint that our yard looks like shit. Anyhoo, we got to talking, and he was nice enough to lend us his hedge trimmer. So the next day I went to town and trimmed a bunch of stuff back, which was satisfying. It's amazing how the right tool can make a job a lot easier.
Sunday night we went and watched the first disc of "Band of Brothers" at Eron's pops' house. Very good watching. I'm not sure how many discs are left (6 or 12?), but hopefully we can rent it or borrow it or something and continue watching.
I also finished my book, which was pretty good. There was a little puzzle/encryption thing at the end which I figured out a couple pages before the characters in the book (not because I'm a genius, but it was a pretty easy little riddle). So it was pretty silly to watch them run around and try to figure it out themselves. The final page in the book (after the story) had some sort of code in it which I'm letting rattle around in my head. I think that means I'm going to be the last person on earth to read The Da Vini Code, coming up next.
That's about all I got. Real World tonight!
