Apparently there was some... unpleasantness... at the 5/805 merge today, and both freeways are closed and traffic is backed up. I just checked, and the online speed indicator at the 5 freeway exits between me and work say speeds are between 2 and 5 miles an hour. Ugh. I'm either going to call in sick, or wait for things to clear up.

Last night Diana and I watched "You Can't Take It With You", and old Jimmy Stewart movie. It was good, but dragged on a little too long. I was most interested in the anti-capitalist, Communist/anarchist themes that seemed to resonate through it. "Doing whatever you want to do" is great, but sometimes isn't the best way to create a productive society.

Still struggling with Nethack. I can't seem to get a good character going, in spite of some early game wishes. Baditude just started up another Hero Clix game. Me and Norm and pitted against Fwats and Fishboy, so that should be fun. Hopefully I'll have learned something from last games pitiful showing.
