So, it's 11pm and I'm at work on a Friday night. Bummer. But, hopefully this will be it for the weekend, so I won't have to come back.
Diana and I saw "Comedian" tonight. In spite of having a hilariously funny trailer (which had nothing to do with the movie itself), the movie, I found, was really flat and bland. It's supposed to tell the behind-the-scenes story of what it's like to be a standup comedian, and it does. The problem is that it's not very exciting behind the scenes. Here's the nutshell: It takes a long time to come up with good material. It's nerve-wracking trying out new stuff. It's (apparently) torturous to be a stand-up comedian, because there is a lot of pressure to do well and not screw up. Sounds exciting, maybe, but the whole movie is them telling us about how nerve-wracking it is, mostly riding around in cabs or limos or while eating at a restaraunt or bar with other comedians. Not so exciting. The best parts, of course, were when they actually showed some stand-up comedy, which is actually entertaining, but those moments were few and far between. So, not so exciting, and no real insight gained. I wouldn't reccomend the movie.
I played a GREAT arcade game today. It's basically like Dance-Dance-Revolution, but it's a drum machine. So, hit the right drum at the right time. The easiest levels were pretty damn hard, but after two games of playing, it was conceivably possible that I'd be able to do better. So I can't wait to head back and try it out again. :)
Tomorrow I think me and D and Norm and Teri are going to try to golf some... that should be fun. :)
