Well, let's review the weekend.
Diana and I met up with Norm and Teri to see "Finding Nemo". I really enjoyed it, and was completely awestruck by the state of computer animation. It really looked incredible. And how they make a fish actually look like Ellen Degeneres, I'll never know. What really surprised me was how many legitamately scary parts there were in the movie. The mom in front of us was covering her kids eyes during some of the scenes. It's been a long time since I've been a little kid, so I'm not sure what's too scary and what's not, but it seemed a little much for really little ones at times.
On Friday, I may or may not have been accepted to beta test some Big Deal Software coming out sometime soon. If I was accepted, I probably would have signed some sort of agreement saying I wouldn't talk about it. And I probably would have spent a lot of time this weekend playing... I mean, TESTING this very important piece of software. Yay me.
Saturday, Diana and I did some gardening, paring back some overgrown stuff. I don't like gardening even one little bit. But it's definitely something that's got to be done. That night we watched "Unbreakable". I'd heard lots of good stuff about this movie, but didn't think it was all that great. Worth watching, I guess, but not really as good as I'd hoped.
Sunday, Diana had a friend in town come to visit, so they went for walks and lunch and talked about girl stuff. I did very important software testing for a major company. We went and golfed at the Minis Course, which was really a lot of fun. Diana has gotten MUCH better at golf in a very short period of time. She shot about double-bogey average, while I had about a bogey average, which, considering the crappy state of the greens on that course, isn't bad at all. We had a lot of fun and are going to try to head out there more often during the week after work. After golf, we went to my parents house for dinner, which was nice. It was neat to see the upgrades they've made to the house recently. It looks quite a bit different then the old days of the big orange wall and brown carpet!
And now, back to work. I have disturbing memories of being awake during the early morning hours and not being able to get back to sleep, and I'm sort of feeling it this morning. Bleah.
