So...
Diana and I hit up downtown on Friday night. I'd gotten her tickets to go see SuperDiamond, a Neil Diamond cover band, playing at the House of Blues. We went there for dinner, walked around downtown a little, and saw a pretty fun show. The opening band was called "Stung", a Police/Sting cover band, and I actually thought they rocked the house. I figure if you can do a halfway decent Sting, you're waaaay ahead of the game. SuperDiamond was cheese-tastic and fun, but a li'l more subdued than Stung. All in all, a fun night out, though.
Saturday was a great, lazy day. Diana worked for most of the day. I hung out with her, did a good bit of programming, ate a lot of ice cream, got cold, and took a bath. I haven't taken a bath in years. It ruled. That night we played poker with some of Diana's work peeps. Diana won enough to cover my losses. We make a pretty good team that way.
Yesterday we chilled, and visited with Diana's parents for a bit, and tonight, we hit up the Hamson's for the Charger Monday Night Football game. Really weird game to watch, and heartbreaking to lose in the last seconds, but nice to see the Hammy's and Eryn. And nice to win my Fantasy Football game by .04 points!
My new programming project has been a lot of fun to work on. Me and Norm and Marc got all fired up about a game idea, and I've been toying around with coding it. Since the eventual goal would be to have it be able to be playing online against an opponent, I've been screwing around with network programming stuff, which is a BIG paradigm shift from normal, single-player programming. Fun to learn and do.
And now, I'm tired, so it's off to bed.
