I'm such a geek...

Yesterday afternoon, not wanting to be late for an appointment with our landscaper, I wrote a little program that connects to the CalTrans website and parses their "average freeway speed" data. (The same data that creates those pretty maps on various news/traffic sites). Since the exits are not equally distributed, I allowed for a weighted distribution (which I'll refine as I go).

I can't wait to test it out tonight! :)
