I've gotten a little urging from various folks that I need to update my blog more often. I understand why they say it, but it doesn't actually do much in terms of motivating me. Perhaps even the opposite.

But yet, here I am. What's going on?

This weekend, Diana and I had a pretty lazy Saturday, and checked out the Zoo on Sunday. We wandered around for a few hours, and saw some cool stuff, including the siamang apes taunting the orangutans. They creep up and pull the orang's hair and then swing off. Watching them swing through the jungle-gym thing they have set up was absolutely incredible, doing swings through at the air, frequently flying through the air without any hands touching any bars. I was really impressed by how muscular their arms and legs were. Even through thick fur, you could tell that they had arms like a bodybuilder. It was a beautiful day, and a nice day out.

Of course, we watched the Survivor finale, which was a fitting ending to what turned out to be a really great season. I'm sorry that it's over, and look forward to the next season in September.

Early last week, PPR and Ko put on a party for li'l Baditude's 30th birthday. We met up at Ruby's in the Carlsbad mall. After hanging out for a little, we were divided up into teams, given our Scavenger Hunt sheets, and turned loose to gather as many items as we could. I was on a team with Diana and Gabe, and I think we took things a little more seriously than the other two teams. But what can I say, when we come to play, we bring our "A" game. It was a lot of fun trying to get all the items on the list. When we returned, all the inventories were taken, and we ended up with the most, and won the first place prize, which was a very generous $125 in Ruby's gift certificates. Each. So Diana and I have a combined $250 to Ruby's, which I'm not sure how we're ever going to spend. That's a lot of milkshakes.

Upcoming this week: I have a softball game tonight. Tomorrow night is World of Warcraft night. Wednesday night is STAR WARS! I'm very, very excited to see this. I recently watched eps 1 and 2 and 4, so I'm all set.

In World of Warcraft news, I've been playing on the Test Server which recently introduced the PvP Battlegrounds They didn't announce it, but on of the Battlegrounds is a 10v10 Capture the Flag Battleground, and if they can fix a few niggling bugs, it will be almost perfect. It hearkens back to my fondly remembered Quake III CTF days, but with the bonus of various classes having strengths and weaknesses. CTF translates really well to computer game worlds, and is a really fun experience. I can't wait for the BGs to roll live, and getting the guild on there.

Good times.

That... is all for now. Smell ya later.
