I had a really interesting conversation last night with some female coworkers at a Happy Hour celebration thing. Well, it wasn't really as much of a conversation as much as me observing while the two of them talked about their hair. Kerry, until recently, had beautiful long curly hair. Not wavy, but tight curls down her back. She has recently cut her hair shorter, and dries it or somehow otherwise treats it to be straight. The other girl, Corrine, has the straightest hair I've seen. Just falls straight down her face with nary a bend or curl. What was really funny/interesting/sad about their conversation, though, is how they both said they didn't like the hair they were born with, and wanted to have hair like the other. It struck me how each of them wanted what the other had deemed undesirable. I wonder if either of them thought "Wow, she wants what I've already got. Maybe it's not so bad after all?" Anyways, this all degenerates to a "be happy who you are" thing, yadda yadda yadda.

Yesterday was Diana and my 6 month anniversary. I think I can honestly say that these have been the happiest 6 months of my life. And that's saying a lot. :)
