Friday!

I went to the doctor this morning for a followup on my finger. He said everything looked good, and wasn't angry at me for taking off my brace early. He said the swelling and discoloration were normal, and suggested some stretching excercises. It's slowly loosening up on it's own, and the stretching is uncomfortable, so I might just see how it does on it's own. But it's good to hear that it's all ok.

I'm glad it's Friday. I'm hoping that the weather continues to clear up and dry out. Diana and I have some housework to do, and it would be nice if it wasn't raining. There is one little area of the roof on the side of the house that doesn't have any sort of raingutter. So the water just spills off it. Unfortunately, the ground below that area is sloped towards the house, rather than away, so we get water pooled up there. I'm hoping this weekend we can either slope the ground the right way, or at least install a rain gutter or something to carry the water away. I also tripped over a sprinkler head and snapped it off while working out there, so that should be replaced. That might be an adventure. I'm learning so much, I love it! :)

A person at work suggested we all play an old game called VGA Planets. It's kind of a graphical Play By Email game, vaguely like Risk in space. It looks like a lot of fun without taking up a whole lot of time. It's a little complicated at first, so I hope I can find some time this weekend to read more about it.

Today is Valentines Day. Diana and I are staging an unnofficial protest, and not doing anything special or buying gifts or anything. I think Valentines day is really lame, and Diana apparently agrees, which is nice. We may go out to dinner, or maybe just stay in and watch a movie. I hope tell Diana everyday how much I love and adore her. I don't need a stupid holiday to remind me of this.
