Moving.

Wow... what a weekend. On Saturday, Diana and I got up and started getting everything all arranged for moving. We rented the truck at noon from El Camino Equipment Rental, who we'd highly recommend. They were very nice and helpful. Norm and Teri and Iwan showed up at 1pm, and we started moving stuff! Alicia and her friend Angela showed up a little later, so we eventually had quite a crew moving us. I though initially that they'd just be helpful, but I quickly found that they were absolutely essential to the moving process. We simply could not have done it without the help we got, and we're VERY thankful.

Packing up took about 3 or 4 hours. Unpacking the truck took about 45 minutes. We then got cleaned up, and Diana and I took Iwan and Teri and Norm out to dinner for a thank-you. We were pretty bushed by the end of the day! We went back to Norms for a little, and then came home. Sleeping here is VERY quiet compared to our old place. It takes some getting used to, but we were so beat that we both slept really well.

Today, Diana worked for most of the day. I went to my parents house and picked up some other boxes and beds, and we all came back here. Dad was VERY helpful showing me around the house. We cleaned out the water softener and learned how it worked, and experimented with the sprinkers, adjusted a toilet, talked about running cable through the crawlspace, and a million other little things. I'm lucky to have such a helpful and knowlegeable daddy right about now.

Diana got home, and we've been putting away stuff ever since, with short breaks to watch football (Raiders are coming to San Diego... look OUT!), and have dinner.
