So, it's been a while since I updated the ol' blog. (I wonder how many blog
entries in the universe begin with that sentiment?)

Most of the reason is that the biggest news in the family is also the most
tragic, and I didn't/don't really know how to approach it. My brother and his
wife, four and a half months pregnant, lost their baby. I really am at a loss
for words about the whole thing. I've been profoundly sad about it all. I've
talked to Dr. Dave briefly, and he said that he and Elaine are doing as well
as they can given the circumstances. It sounds like having a busy
three-year-old running around might help take a bit of the edge off it. I
hope so.

Given that, I feel a little awkward posting about the rest of my life (most
of which centers around Diana and our own pregnancy). The other reason for
the lack of posts lately.

So, for now, send a positive thought out to Dr. Dave and Elaine and Ben. I'll
get back to my regular posting soon.
