Hrm.
So, I'm getting my office all set up today. Got the desk up and going (nice desk!), and more importantly, got my new wireless network up and going.
I'm not so impressed.
Performance is all over the road. Best case is what my old wired network was. Worst case is... a lot worse.
My cable connection is about 1.5 megabit downstream, and I used to get that constantly. I just ran a speedtest from www.dslreports, and I got about 300 kilobit downstream.
I tried a big download from www.3dgamers.com, and where I'd normally get about 130 kbps, I was getting 35-40.
The dumb thing is that this wireless set up is supposed to be 11 megabits/sec, so it definitely shouldn't be the slowest link.
Maybe I have something set up incorrectly...? Or is that just an "up to 11 megabits"?
Not so pleased.... yet.
*UPDATE*
I downloaded the latest driver, and things seem to be a LOT better. So, there's hope yet!
