Good news, Bad news, and OK news...

The good news: Iwan entered into and won a spot to play in a shotgun start at Torrey Pines today (the day after the final round of the Buick Invitational). And actually, he won a foursome, and invited me to join him! We'd play from the pro tees, and play with the same pin placements as the pros did yesterday.

I went to the driving range a few times this week, and recorded the Buick for watching and re-watching. I was all prepped to play the holes, and then come home and review how the pros did, etc. I was really, really looking forward to this.

The bad news: It rained all last night, and was pouring this morning. We got up and headed out, only to find out that they were gonna shut the course down for the day. Rivers were forming, greens were turning into pools, and the course was deemed unplayable by the grounds manager. He was really apologetic, but made the call.

The OK news is I'm still going to take today as a vacation day. I'm pretty disappointed, though.
