Today at work people gave me balloons and a card. It was very nice.
Looking at the balloons, I decided to launch something. I wrote a note as follows:
Hi!
My name is Adam. Today is 12/5/03, and tomorrow is my 29th birthday.
My friends at work got me some balloons, so I thought I'd do one of
these "notes in a bottle" dealy and see what happens. I hope a condor doesn't
eat it and die or something!

I wrapped it in a $1, and tied a red ribbon around it. I put it in a plastic baggie, and put all that into a little water bottle. I'm going to launch it, and see what happens!
A co-worker laughed and said: "You should be glad you're not totally rich... You'd spend your money doing all sorts of crazy geek stuff!" I took it as a compliment.
