This weekend was a lot of fun. On Friday, I left work a little early, and met up with D, Nuthin' Doin, Baditude, and H-Bomb, and we embarked up to Big Bear to stay with Norm and T-Bone (I like nicknames). We had a great weekend of BBQ'ing, game playing, and playing in and around the lake. There's really nothing like spending a really fun weekend with your besties and just bonding. Good times.
On Sunday, we drove home and crashed out for a while, and then went to D's parents house for dinner, which was nice.
Last night, we watched the latest Star Trek movie, which was somewhat laughable, but kind of fun at the same time. I've also rented "Ladyhawke" (I think that's it) from Norm. I've never heard of it, but look forward to watching it as I've heard good things.
This morning at 4am, I woke up a moment before D nudged me to wake me up. We heard a combination of very primal sounds right outside our window. The first sound was the kind of growl a dog would make while playing tug-o-war with it. The second was a piercing shriek from a small animal. They both didn't last very long, but were soon replaced by a new sound, which was a chewing and gnawing of bones. We peeked out the window, but didn't see anything. We turned on the lights, and I eventually went outside, but whatever it was was gone. No trace left this morning. Pretty neat.
I've had some recent Nethack luck, but no real progress made. I've had an insane amount of early game wishes, and some polymorhping fun (turning my little kitty into an ice troll on two seperate occasions), but always manage to screw it up. Oh well.
